Boards, Commissions and Committees
The Town of Clinton encourages citizen participation in municipal government and welcomes your interest in serving on a board, commission, or committee. Residents of Clinton can volunteer to participate by applying for a current vacant seat.
Membership
Appointments to boards, commissions and committees are voted on by the Town Council. All appointees shall be a bona fide resident electors of the Town and shall vacate their positon on ceasing to be a bona fide resident elector of the Town. No one person may hold more than one (1) elected and two (2) appointed positions simultaneously on Boards or Commissions excluding ad hoc committees and subcommittees. No one person may hold more than 3 (3) appointed positions simultaneously on Boards or Commissions excluding ad hoc committees and subcommittees. Meeting attendance is required.

Board and Commission Vacancies
Appointments to boards and commissions are filled by the Town Council at their regular meeting. Please refer to the "Town Council Policy Governing Filling of Vacancies on Boards and Commissions".

Application
Applications can be filed out online for bodies with vacancies. To complete an application, click on "Apply for a Board or Commission". Applications are forwarded to the Town Council for review.
