Historic District Commission

It is the mandate of the Historic District Commission (HDC) to promote the interests of historic preservation throughout the Town of Clinton. Where regulated historic districts have been created such as the Liberty Green Historic District, the HDC is empowered to ensure that existing historic resources are preserved, and the design of new structures is appropriate to the historic context. Additionally, HDC has an advisory obligation to other town agencies in matters related to historic preservation.
