The expected long term closure of the Pleasant Valley Road Bridge will commence today December 7th, 2020 and is expected to be closed through Fall of 2021 for the planned replacement of the Bridge span. The project falls under the State of CT 50/50 bridge program, where as the State / Town split construction costs evenly. The contract was awarded to the Old Colony Construction Company of Clinton .Anyone who uses Pleasant Valley Road will need to seek alternate routes. Detours are posted. Bridge is located on the Westbrook/ Clinton town line where Pleasant Valley turns into Breakneck Hill Road.
