The CT River Area Health District has announced that 7 more Clinton Residents have tested positive for COVID-19.  The breakdown is as follows.

Female between the ages of 10-19
Male between the ages of 50-59
Female between the ages of 40-49
Female between the ages of 10-19
Female between the ages of 50-59
Female between the ages of 30-39
Female between the ages of 50-59

Clinton now has 134 residents in total that have tested positive for COVID-19.  

Due to the increase of COVID-19 positive cases within a 2 week period, the Department of Public Health has upgraded the alert for the Town of Clinton from orange to red. According to the Connecticut River Area Health District, these increased numbers are due to social gatherings and contraction within families.

As a reminder, the common symptoms of COVID-19 are: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath and fatigue. Please remember if you are symptomatic, get tested, and stay home from work or school. We again remind all residents to continue to practice social distancing when out in public, wear masks when social distancing cannot be maintained, and wash or sanitize hands frequently, especially after contact with public surfaces.
