[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update 10/29/20

The Town has seen an increase in positive COVID-19 cases, the Department of Public Health has issued an orange alert for Clinton. We have had twenty-two new positive cases in the last fourteen days. According to the Connecticut River Area Health District, these increased numbers are due to social gatherings and contraction within families.

In order to stop the spread of COVID-19 it’s critical that you get tested – even if you’re not showing symptoms, but have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. Information on the nearest test site can be found by visiting www.ct.gov/coronavirus and typing in zip code 06413.  To find a free test, check www.ct.gov/prioritytesting. As a reminder, the common symptoms of COVID-19 are: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath and fatigue.

The complete list of COVID-19 symptoms can be found on the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019ncov/symptomstesting/symptoms.html

Please remember if you are symptomatic, get tested, and stay home from work or school. We again remind all residents to continue to practice social distancing when out in public, wear masks when social distancing cannot be maintained, and wash or sanitize hands frequently, especially after contact with public surfaces.

Do your part to keep Clinton safe and healthy.
