TOWN OF CLINTON PRESS RELEASE

April 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that the Town of Clinton reports that a third resident has passed away due to complications from COVID-19.  The Connective River Area Health District reported that the resident was a female in her 70s.

No new positive cases of COVID-19 in Clinton have been reported since April 22, 2020.  

The Town of Clinton’s main objective remains to continue to keep residents safe and help slow the spread of the virus.  The single best way to slow the spread is to practice social distancing.  

All residents in the Town of Clinton are strongly encouraged to continue taking preventative actions to help protect themselves and the community as their civic responsibility, these include:

•    Wear a mask when in public

•    Staying home if you are sick except to get urgent medical care

•    Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when in public

•    Avoiding close contact with people who are sick

•    Washing your hands with soap and water frequently and for at least 20 seconds

•    Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands after

•    Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

•    Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces
