The on-going coronavirus pandemic and Executive Orders from the Governor changed the budget adoption process for the FY 2020-2021 budget. The Town Council still wants to receive public comment on the proposed budget.
Executive Order 7I amends the budget adoption process for every city and town in Connecticut. The Governor determined that having large meetings including referendums pose a health hazard during the pandemic. The Town Council will hold a virtual public hearing on May 6, 2020 at 6:00 PM. to receive public comment on the proposed budget on the Town’s website at http://clintonct.org/606/Budgets Clinton taxpayers can watch, listen or participate in the meeting by:

Public comment can also be submitted in writing to the Town Council. Please mail your comments to the Town Hall, 54 East Main Street, Clinton CT 06413 or you can email written comments to Budget@clintonct.org. All correspondences need to be submitted by 4:00 PM on May 5, 2020. The Governor’s Executive Order 7B describes that materials submitted to the town’s board or commission need to be available at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. All emails will be provided to the Council and will appear online with the agenda for the Town Council’s Public Hearing.
