- Greylock Properties is close to finalizing contracts with two key tenants: a large retail grocery and a hotel franchise. Work continues on recruitment and negotiations of other tenants, including restaurants and retail;
- Work with Site Planners/Landscape Architects has resulted in some site redesign, which includes adding an attractive large central green, improved views to the second level of buildings from Route 81, and the rotation of the anchor tenant building;
- The originally-envisioned multifamily townhouse component in the easterly (rear) portion of the site will likely be replaced by a hotel pad due to market forces and wastewater capacity;
- Architectural renderings of the buildings fronting Route 81 have been developed in a way the reflects both the mill heritage of this portion of the Indian River and the New England colonial character of Clinton; and
- Traffic analysis is being prepared for submission to the Office of State Traffic Authority (OSTA) and a meeting is planned that will involve the Town, developers, CT Department of Transportation, and the Town’s consultant Fitzgerald and Halliday Inc. on the recently-completed Route 81 Corridor Study. The goal of this meeting is to ensure that the required roadway and intersection improvements will be harmonious with a lower-speed village character and a “Complete Streets” encouragement of bicycle and pedestrian safety.

The project is proceeding well and Greylock and the Town remain committed to moving our partnership forward.
