[ARCHIVED] Free Brush Disposal March 16th - 18th

The Department of Public Works will not be performing roadside pickup of debris generated during the storm.

The Transfer Station will be accepting brush free of charge on the following dates and times.

Friday March 16TH from 7:15 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday March 17th from 7:15 Am – 3:00 PM

Sunday March 18th from 8:00 Am – 1:00 PM (brush only no other services)


Please observe the following rules:

  • You must present a Connecticut driver’s license with a Clinton Address upon request.   
  • NO COMMERCIAL vehicles permitted.
  • The Homeowner must accompany the load no commercial services or friends.
  • Brush 3 inches or less in diameter accepted.
  • Brush no greater than 3 inches in diameter accepted.
  • Brush GREATER  than 3 inched in diameter  WILL NOT  be accepted    
  • Logs three inches or more in diameter will be accepted but must be clean of branches and be no longer than 4 feet
  • No scrubs will be accepted
  • No leaves/grass plant trimmings   will be accepted 
  • The Department reserves the right to verify location from where  a load is transported from.

This will be the only weekend that will be available for free disposal NO EXCEPTIONS.  The Department reserves the right to reject any load regardless of reason. Please contact the Department of Public Works if you have any questions,
