Dredging Update 10/25/17
The boat ramp has reopened, please use caution in the area as we are still actively dredging. There will be other work be completed in the next three weeks that will occur near the ramp. Please be courteous and patient if the ramp is blocked for a few minutes:
To date:
- We have removed 4100 cubic yards of material; this represents 60% of the estimated amount scheduled for removal.
- We will be replacing 16 – 18 pilings that cannot be reset due to marine worm damage
- The two new finger for Dock D are being built and will be installed as part of this project
- We have lost 8 days due to weather. The project is now schedule to be complete mid-November.
- The project remains with budget
We would like to thanks everyone for their patience during the project. The goal is to conclude the project safely and within budget. This necessitated the closure of the boat ramp for a period of 22 days. We were able to open the ramp one week earlier than anticipated.
